The Southern Sudan Roads Authority Act, 2011 established the South Sudan Roads Authority (SSRA) as an autonomous body corporate.
The Act stipulates that the SSRA shall have responsibility for the management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of all Inter-state and International Roads in South Sudan and road development in war affected areas as may be directed by the Minister of Roads and Bridges.
