Challenges in the Education sector
The challenges facing the education sector include the following:
- Lack of trained teachers with a pupil to qualified teacher ratio of 100:1
- School infrastructure is in a weak state, most children are learning under trees, tents, in open air or semi permanent structures.
- Lack of safe drinking water in schools
- Limited access to latrines
- Inadequate sports facilities
