Adar oilfield
The Adar oilfield, also known as the Adar Yale, Adar Yeil or Adaril field, is an oilfield situated in the Melut Basin in South Sudan estimated to contain about 276 million of oil.
Fula oil field
The Fula oil field is an oil field located in Muglad Basin. It was discovered in 2001 and developed by China National Petroleum Corporation. It began production in 2004 and produces oil. The total proven reserves of the Fula oil field are around 745 million barrels and production is centered around 55,000 barrels per day.
Palogue oil field
The Palogue oil field is an oil field located in Melut Basin. It was discovered in 2003 and developed by China National Petroleum Corporation. It began production in 2003 and produces oil. The total proven reserves of the Palogue oil field are around 2.9 billion barrels and production is centered around 22,000 barrels per day.
Unity oil field
The Unity oil field is a major oil field in Unity State, South Sudan. It lies to the north of the state capital Bentiu in Rubkona County.
The oil field and the Heglig feld further north, were discovered by Chevron Corporation in 1982, and was to become one of the most productive fields in Sudan. Chevron spent almost $880 million in exploration, but suspended operations soon after the Second Sudanese Civil War (1983-2005) began.
Block 5A
Block 5A is located in the Muglad Basin, which extends from South Sudan north into Sudan and is rich in oil deposits.The Thar Jath field in Block 5A has an area of 54 square kilometres.
Reserves at the Thar Jath field are said to be 250 million barrels. Mala was thought to have 44 million barrels of reserves.
Oil has also been found in Jarayan field.
