Uganda’s oil development has faced a number of challenges including the following issues:
- There may not enough absorption capacity for the oil revenues
- The government has been slow in issuing licenses in the sector,
- Lack of capacity on the side of government
- Lack of effective legal framework
- The tax disputes somehow brought in some delays
- The development of the Infrastructural relating to the oil production
- There has been a lot talked about pointing to the lack of transparency by the government.
