AFAB is the only umbrella association in that represents interests of business women in Burundi. The association mainly carries out its advocacy activities through sector-specific committees and the board
of directors and gets favourable audience from a number of government agencies and ministries. It also carries out advocacy through the Burundi Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. However, it has
