Odzala National Park is located in MbomoCuvette-Ouest Region in Republic of Congo covering an area of 13600 km2.It is estimated that there are between 170,000 and 300,000 chimpanzees left in the world. About 80 percent of the world’s chimpanzee population is found in Republic of Congo and is part of the world’s second largest expanse of tropical rainforest and holds Africa’s densest population of western lowland gorillas of over 90,000 and significant populations of forest elephant and over 300 birds.
