The cost of establishing 1 ha of forest is estimated at US$ 700.<\/li>\n<li>There is available land\u00a0 with good soils for plantation<\/li>\n<li>The forest in Uganda give good yields because of conducive climate<\/li>\n<li>The prices of forest products have been quite and are expected to remain so.<\/li>\n<li>Uganda is offering good tax and non-tax incentives in forest farming<\/li>\n<li>The Saw Log Production Grant Scheme (SPGS) provides a direct subsidy grant for private timber growers planting from 25 ha to 500 ha.<\/li>\n<li>The National Forestry Authority is reading available to give advice<\/li>\n<li>There is a good pool of forestry technical experts in the country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following conditions favour the growing of trees.
