The university is located on Kikungiri Hill, one kilometre off the Katuna-Kigali highway in Kabale Municipality. The university started operations with only 40 students in 2002 and its current population has risen to over 2000 students.<\/p>\n<p>The university offers over 50 courses at diploma, bachelors and post-graduate level.
