They were believed to possess spiritual powers and they were therefore accorded the status of demi- gods and worshipped by some local people at the time. Many traditional gods in Toro, Bunyoro and Buganda still have the Bachwezi names like Ndahura, Mulindwa, Wamara, and Kagoro.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration<\/strong><br \/>The bachwezi are believed to have ruled for a short time and the documented Bachwezi Kings were Ndahura, Mulindwa and Wamara.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contributions<\/strong><br \/>The bachwezi apart for founding Kitara kingdom are also credited with the introduction of the long-horned ankole cattle, coffee growing, iron smelting, and the administration under the king<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disappearance of the Bachwezi<\/strong> <br \/>It is not clear of what happened to the Bachwezi and there are many stories told about the disappearance of the Bachwezi.
