It is the longest in Africa and in the world.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/fortuneofafrica.com\/ug\/river-semliki\/\">River Semliki<\/a><\/p>\n<p>originates from Lake Edward found in Kasese District in Western Uganda<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/fortuneofafrica.com\/ug\/river-katonga\/\">River Katonga<\/a><\/p>\n<p>with a lengh of 220 km is located in the south-western part of <a style=\"line-height: 1.6\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Uganda\">Uganda<\/a>. It starts from Lake Victoria and flows, first, northwards into Lake Wamala.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/fortuneofafrica.com\/ug\/other-rivers-in-uganda\/\">Other Rivers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Uganda has many other small rivers across the country.<br \/>\nThe rivers are a home to different fauna and flora including crocodiles, hippopotamus, elephants, the Nile fish, Nile Monitor, frogs, turtles, tortoises, mongooses and several hundred thousand water birds. and various kinds of antelopes among others.
