In the same year Semei Kakungulu was appointed President of the Lukiiko, his reign ended with his resignation in 1913. The resignation of\u00a0 Semei Kakungulu led\u00a0 the collapse of the political structure and the abolition of the office of \u201cpresident of the Lukiiko of Busoga\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>Isembantu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 1919 the Isembantu Kyabaziga office was established as an alternative to the President of the Lukiiko of Busoga and Ezekeeri Wako was appointed the first Isebantu Kyabazinga. In September 1967, Obote imposed a new &#8216;Republican&#8217; constitution on the nation. All kingdoms were abolished in the new constitution.\u00a0 In 1996, His Royal Highness Henry Wako Muloki was reinstated as Kyabazinga Isebantu of Busoga after the approval of the new constitution of Uganda. He ruled\u00a0 until Monday 1 September 2008, when he passed on at the age of 87.
